Guidelines for photographs of art work
Please take the photograph directly in front of the work, not at an angle. Plain background is ok – it can help to define the edge of the art work and can be cropped before inclusion in the catalogue. Please include the frame, if present and avoid reflections on glass. You’ll find a short video on how to take a good photograph and another on how to reduce the size of a jpeg image to under 1MB at the foot of this page. When you’re ready to upload the image(s), Choose file > Select the location containing your file(s) (NB could be Downloads) > Open.
