The Garden Gang awaits news of the latest public health guidelines with a key date being 5 March, but while we all wait nature does not. It is thrilling to see snowdrops and daffodils blooming, while the days are getting longer. We haven’t gardened together since October 2019 which is extraordinary when you think about it. However, seeds can be bought now (go online or I’ve seen them in larger supermarkets), planted in trays and kept indoors. All going well each of us can then somehow get to the allotments and plant them when the time is right… and after a lot of weeding is done. Helen O’Kelly
