2018 is also the Centenary of the 33rd Dublin Sandford Scout Group. To commemorate and celebrate the centenary, the Cubs will be hosting an event at St Philip’s on the afternoon/evening of Saturday 2 June for friends, family, parishioners and ex-Sandford Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. There will be a BBQ and an exhibition celebrating the last 100 years of scouting for the 33rd Dublin Sandford group. The current Cubs and leaders will camp overnight in the grounds of St Philip’s, and there will be a service on Sunday morning to mark the centenary.
