Sandford Organ
The restoration of the Sandford organ is now essentially complete, with only minor tweaks and fine-tuning left to be done over the next several months. The organ will be featured in the summer lunchtime concert series, with an official re-dedication and recital in the autumn.
St Philip’s Organ
The restoration of St Philip’s organ is now well underway. The complete case and console was first assembled by P&S Organ Supply in the UK (Trevor Crowe’s subcontractors), and then disassembled and shipped to Ireland for assembly. Once the case and console are completely assembled, the long process of installing and finely regulating more than 1000 pipes will begin. It is hoped that some of the organ will be playable by the autumn.
