While we had to dodge a few showers on 16 May, that didn’t dampen spirits at the St Philip’ s Spring Bazaar. A steady flow of people, including many visitors and young families, came along to find some bargains, stock up on summer holiday reading, add some items to their wardrobes and games collections, and purchase home bakes. There were plants aplenty too, and both children and adults were seen to have had their nails and faces painted! The burgers went down a treat (with some coming back for seconds!) and tea, coffee and home bakes were available throughout the event. Many thanks to the organising team of Rachel, Ruth and Anne, and to all who prepared and worked on the stalls, and who carried out a lot of work setting up and tidying up. It takes a parish….
