Sandford Junior Sunday School
The children have continued to have lots of fun with sharing stories and taking part in Bible crafts, and as usual animals make a weekly feature. We were also pleased to see the Easter tree in the church, which the children decorated with eggs. Rob continued with our love of animals and read a lovely story about a lady setting up an animal shelter. The children shared their experiences of caring for animals and others. On our last Sunday there was more fun and prizes. We talked about considering and praying for others and making our friends feel good with our kind actions. Serena Munro
Sandford Senior Sunday School
As the children in Senior Sunday school look forward to a well-earned rest over the summer holidays, we can look back at all the themes we have covered and fun we have had in our last term from making beautiful Mothering Sunday cards for all the mums and learning about the origins of Mothering Sunday, to learning about St Patrick’s use of the shamrock to explain the Holy Trinity. The children have been as enthusiastic as ever and really enjoyed the lesson where we discussed our own individual talents and how God has made each of us special. Well done to all the Senior Sunday School kids, who have been a joy to teach. Rebekah Hand
St Philip’s Sunday School
Another Sunday School year has flown by and we have had a great time in St Philip’s. We have tried to incorporate a story at the start of each class this year, and then followed that up with some games or colouring. This went out the window last week as we had two babies under a year as our only attendees! But I think they still had fun. As always, we are open to new families to join us – we have a group of six leaders but are always keen to extend the numbers. Keep an eye out for next term’s schedule and please get in touch!
