Annual Lunch

Our Sandmillers annual lunch was held on Thursday, 5 March in the comfortable surroundings of Milltown Golf Club with an attendance of 25. Linda, Gloria and Irene’s contributions to the hosting of the event was praiseworthy. A larger than usual cohort of the Sandmill Strollers presented, adding greatly to the atmosphere. We assembled at 12.30 for lunch at 1pm, glad to escape the torrential rain, most definitely a day for an indoor event.

Rev. Gyles gave an extemporaneous Grace and we sat to lunch. The lunch could not be faulted as the menu presented an adequate choice and was faultlessly presented and served, without cause for complaint. Energised chatter was evident at all tables. It was a splendid lunch and we can assume that everyone present will look forward to next year’s event. James O’Neill
