St Philip’s 150th
The celebrations to mark the 150th anniversary of St Philip’s Parish will take place over the weekend of 12–14 May 2017. Celebrations will include a flower festival, exhibition and special service.
Flower festival
Various groups associated with the parish and the local community are being approached about providing an arrangement for the festival. In addition, if you would like to sponsor an arrangement in memory of a loved one please contact Ruth Potterton.
The BIG Exhibition
Photos, memorabilia and other miscellaneous items are desired and required for the exhibition to take place to mark the 150th anniversary of St Philip’s.
We are looking for anyone who has any photos or memorabilia reflecting on any aspects of St Philip’s Church and parish life over the past 150 years. We will be putting on an exhibition of such items in St Philip’s Hall in May 2017 as part of the celebration of the 150th anniversary of St Philip’s. The exhibition will tell the history of the church and parish.
The exhibition will include poster presentations on the history of the parish, along with an audio-visual presentation. We are looking for items in both electronic format and/or hard copy to include in both forms of exhibit. Other more substantive memorabilia, if available, may also be included. Particularly precious photos or documents should be scanned and delivered in electronic format. We will return all other hard-copy items once the exhibition has concluded. Please contact Ivar McGrath.
Contact details are in the Christmas 2016 edition of the SandMill News.
