Sunday School leaders met with the Rector in September to plan some activities for this term. While Sunday School cannot meet in the usual way, plans are afoot for some fun activities between now and Christmas. Keep an eye on the parish emails!
As the autumn leaves begin to change colour and the weather is see-sawing between balmy and blustery, we in Garden Gang have been on pause pending the Government announcements about the latest Covid restrictions. As I write we have just begun Level 3 restrictions for the next three weeks. Even…
The pandemic continues to curtail music-making—not just in the parishes, but everywhere. Since audience capacities are limited, it hasn’t been possible to reschedule our cancelled summer lunchtime concerts. However, we hope to be able to make available some pre-recorded recitals from both churches over the next few months featuring musicians…

The Choral Scholars term recommenced on 11 September, and we were delighted to welcome some new members, and welcome back some returning members. This year the Scholars will be working on Purcell’s opera Dido & Aeneas, which we hope to perform next year, as well as singing at events on…
Following the installation of the fantastic new organ, it would be excellent if we could improve the quality of music and singing at services in St Philip’s. With this in mind, we hope to begin a new parish choir based in St Philip’s Church. This will be a separate group…
